Cavola Experiment: Testing the instruments
Testing of the instruments was accomplished over the period 15-19/07/04. All the intruments recorded simultaneously for more than 12 hours overnight for a "Huddle test". The signals recorded allow us to check the instruments for internal noise and instruments failure.
To prepare all 100 instruments for the Huddle test, we placed them into 2 lines of 50 seismometers

Each yellow box contains 5 seismometers.
. We connected each sensor to its yellow box and through this to the GPS cable and to the power supply . A laptop computer was connected to the yellow box to check the 5 instruments together . After the check, the instruments recorded for more than 12 hours overnight . |
